South Carolina is one of the top vacation destinations in the United States. It's easy to see why -- this sunny state has beautiful beaches and lots of amusement parks. The hard part is not deciding to visit South Carolina amusement parks, but deciding which one to visit first! Many people enjoy the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina. Here you will find a variety of amusement and theme parks of all kinds. Although the Grand Prix and Pavilion Amusement Park are both closed, you will find plenty more parks in Myrtle Beach to enjoy.
Family Kingdom is a fantastic park in the Myrtle Beach area. The name says it all -- it truly is a kingdom of entertainment for every member of your family. There are thrill rides like roller coasters, family rides, rides for kids and much more. You will find amusement rides and water rides at Family Kingdom. There is a Drop Zone ride that takes you to dizzying heights and drops you to the ground, as well as classic rides like coasters, go-carts, bumper cars and carousels.
As previously mentioned, Family Kingdom also has a water park. What's special about this park is that it is on the beach. There are thrilling water slides, lazy rivers, wave pools and more. And, you get to enjoy all these water attractions right by the majestic and beautiful Atlantic Ocean. For kids, there are plenty of kiddie slides, wading pools and more. While you're in the Myrtle Beach area, why not check out some other attractions in the area like the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Pavilion Nostalgia Park and the fun NASCAR Speed Park.
In Hilton Head you will find Adventure Cove. While this park does not offer as many rides as Family Kingdom, it has a charm all its own. Here you can enjoy mini golf, a fun arcade, gorgeous gardens and pools, the Adventure Cove Shop and more. Many special events like birthday parties are held at this park.
When you are trying to choose between South Carolina amusement parks, you may want to research more about the parks in the area you are going to visit. You may find more than one park in a city. For example, Myrtle Beach has quite a few. Most parks have websites where you can learn more about the parks and what they have to offer. The state of South Carolina is home to many fine amusement and theme parks offering family fun and adventure.
