Carowinds is perhaps the most exciting park in all of North and South Carolina. Out of all the North Carolina amusement parks, many people will say Carowinds is the best. This is because this park has an incredible array of thrill rides, family rides, kids rides, water rides and more. In addition to the rides there is live entertainment, great shopping and delicious food. Let's start by talking about the most exciting rides at the park -- the thrill rides.

Thrill seekers everywhere will love Top Gun: The Jet Coaster. This coaster is the fastest in the entire park and is ranked as one of the top steel coasters in the nation. The coaster is 113 feet tall and features twist, turns, dives, inversions and more. There is even a moment of zero G force on this incredible ride. Another top coaster at Carowinds is Thunder Road, which is a twin pair of coasters which race through both North and South Carolina. You may also want to take a ride on The Hurler, which is a wooden coaster sure to make your stomach flip and your heart race.

There are plenty of fun family rides at the park as well. The Nickelodeon Super Saturator is a ride that combines water and thrills. This swing coaster is a suspended style coaster. On this ride you get to fly past water cannons and sprayers. If you want to get wet and you like thrills, this ride is ideal for you. Another fun family ride is Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion. Help Scooby and his friends solve the mystery, and of course, pick up as many Scooby snacks as you can!

Carowinds has more than just rides. There are plenty of fun shows and concerts to enjoy as well. Not only that, but the park hosts various special events as well.
