![]() |
When you visit Indiana amusement parks, you will experience incredible thrills and plenty of excitement. There are also parks that aren't as thrilling but are perfect for families with young children. First, let's take a look one of the biggest parks in the state which has lots of great rides -- Indiana Beach. Indiana Beach is located in Monticello on the waterfront and is in a beautiful location. One of the first things you will see when you get to the park is the giant Galaxi coaster. The Galaxi coaster has been operational since 1971 and is one of the most popular rides at the park.
Another hot coaster at Indiana Beach is the Cornball Express. This award winning wooden coaster has crazy twists and turns that take riders through various areas of the park. You'll go over Kiddyland and almost crash directly into Rocky's Rapids Log Flume. The heart pounding, stomach clenching double drop makes an incredible finale to your wild ride. There are also a great many family rides at the park for all ages that range in intensity from mild to wild. The Sand Beach water park area features lots of water to play in and six exciting slides to slip down.
Indiana Beach isn't the only great park in the state. Another popular park is actually like two parks in one. Holiday World and Splashin Safari make up another popular park and are located in Santa Claus, Indiana. Holiday World features amazingly fun and thrilling rides while Splashin Safari has incredible water rides. If you love coasters, you will really love the thrilling wooden coasters like the Voyage and Legend or the amazing steel Raven. This park also has fun family rides, entertaining live shows and of course an incredible variety of water rides.
There are plenty more Indiana amusement parks to visit, including Fun Spot which is a park and a zoo in one. This certainly saves time and money because you've got two attractions in one. After you've had your share of thrilling rides and amazing entertainment, you can head over to the zoo area and marvel at incredible animals in their beautiful habitat areas. Whether you visit Indiana Beach, Holiday World and Splashin Safari, Fun Spot or one of the state's other parks, you're sure to have a great time!
