You will find several fun Connecticut amusement parks offering all levels of thrills and excitement. One of the most popular is Lake Compounce. If you are a wooden coaster enthusiast then you simply must take a ride on Boulder Dash. Another thrilling ride is the Ghost Hunt Dark Ride. If you like heights, the gondola Skyride is a good bet.
At Lake Compounce you will also find souvenirs and great food. While most of the fare is average amusement park food, the fresh cut fries are legendary. Another benefit of this park is the scenery. You will find the natural foliage and landscape is worked nicely into the park layout. The Lake Compounce park is located in Bristol which is near Hartford. Another fun park in the state of Connecticut is Quassy, which is located in Middlebury.
Quassy Amusement Park is also a medium sized park that is not quite as big as a Six Flags but has a great deal going for it. There are rides for youngsters, teens and adults. There are also rides that the whole family can enjoy together. One popular ride at Quassy is the Monster Roller Coaster, which is appropriate for older children, teens and grownups. There's also a classic Tilt-a-Whirl, Big Flush Water Coaster, Frog Hopper ride and more. Kids and adults of ages will find a favorite ride at this fun park.
There are also games, gift shops and dining at Quassy. They even have a Quassy Kids Club which kids can sign up for. It's free, and provides kids with fun emails, notifications of special events, contests and games, and more. Both Quassy and Lake Compounce are fun Connecticut amusement parks that will thrill your whole family. These parks offer fun rides and activities for all ages.
