Six Flags has locations all over North America with Texas being just one of them. As a matter of fact, Texas has two Six Flags parks, one in San Antonio and one in Arlington.
Most all Six Flags are very similar because they are owned by the same parent company. If you have never visited a Six Flags location, you are in for a real treat. There are all kinds of rides and attractions to enjoy. If you are a thrill seeker, then you cannot miss rides like like Superman: Tower of Power, Dive Bomber Alley, Texas Giant and Wildcatter. There are also more moderate rides for adults and teens who want a thrilling ride that is of medium intensity. These rides include The Gun Slinger and Runaway Mine Train. There are also plenty of rides just for kiddies and of course fun water rides.
Joyland is another park in Texas, located in Lubbock to be exact. This park is considered medium sized and has a variety of fun rides for all ages. The biggest ride at the park is the Galaxi coaster. This thrilling coaster was made in Italy and is a classic coaster that enthusiasts will love. For little coaster lovers, check out the Little Coaster which is made just for kids. There are also lots of water rides like Big Splash which will definitely get you wet. Another popular feature is the outdoor air conditioning that the park utilizes in hot weather.
If you want to visit amusement parks in Texas that are especially for kids, there are a few of them from which you can choose. The two top parks made for kids are Kiddie Park and Kiddie Acres. Kiddie Park is in San Antonio and has the distinction of being one of the state's oldest parks. Kiddie Acres is a fairly small amusement park, with mini golf and plenty of great kids' rides. There are plenty of other parks in Texas for families and people of all ages to enjoy also. Examples include Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah and Sandy Lake in Dallas.
